GeoH Split Bone Script

This script subdivides a bone into two pieces, for example if you need additional bones along a creature's spine. It should be used during initial rig setup (and maybe posing), not after tracking has commenced.

You can select the distance along the bone at which the split takes place, in percent. For example, 25% is one quarter of the way from the parent to the current end pivot of the bone.

Similarly, you can control the orientation of the new intermediate bone's pivot point, with another percentage ranging from 0 to 100%.

The Split Bone script clears the lock values of the new intermediate bone, so that nothing moves.

The weight maps of the new intermediate bone is zeroed out (so that total weights still sum to 1.0). You'll need to edit both weight maps to control what goes with what.

Note : We should probably get around to making it partition the weight maps automatically (at least for a distance split). If you've read this far and it matters to you, let us know.

You'll probably also need to make other adjustments depending on what you are

doing.
