How to Use Multiple Windows in Avid FX 6 or Boris RED 5

An Avid Media Composer editor recently wrote, “I’m trying to work with Avid FX
6 across two monitors. I don’t seem to have independent control of the windows
like I did in the previous version. I can’t find a setting or preference to
‘decouple’ the windows so I can move them around. How do I do this?
