Overview of Imports, Exports, and Scripts

Geometric Hierarchy Tracking is facilitated by a number of importers, exporters, and scripts, outlined here. Note that exporters are found under the File/Export submenu, importers under File/Import, and scripts under the top-level Script menu. GeoH-specific scripts appear within a GeoH sub-menu; generic imports and exports do not.

SynthEyes contains a large number of application-specific exports; it's difficult to keep them up-to-date, and not all programs can support all possible features in any case. The exports listed here have been updated to include GeoH-compatible features (mainly point caches).

You can select which axis is up (Y or Z) with many of the exports and imports.

Note that these selections are independent of the selection within the SynthEyes scene, as controlled by Edit/Scene Settings and Edit/Preferences. If you change the axis setting, data is adjusted so that the top, left, front, etc views are unchanged.

Note that Filmbox (FBX) is the best overall general format for GeoH scenes.
