GeoH Reset Pivots Script

This is a "fix-it" script for use during initial rig setup. The script takes the current position of the selected object, and makes this position the zero position (pivot position) for this object, then clears the lock values to zero, so that nothing moves at all.

For example, someone sends you a rig oriented strangely, such as a character that is face-planted because it is built for Z-Up but sent Y-Up. You can reorient the root so it is standing upright, but that doesn't change the rig itself. the rig is still face-

planted. So after repositioning the rig, you run this Reset Pivots, so that current position is now the rig's reference position. Now you can continue on to adjust and animate the rig.

Or you are setting up a rig and have something positioned perfectly, but have set up the lock values, not the pivot position. You want to keep this position as the pivot.

Just run the Reset Pivots script.

For flexibility, you can select whether the script affects all the children (and grandchildren etc) of the selected object, or not.

The script should be used only during initial rig setup as it is inherently quite destructive to any tracking or animation already done on the object or its children.
