Adjust Rig

Normally, if you drag a GeoH object's handles in the perspective or 3D views, only the unlocked joints move and receive keys. That prevents you from messing up your carefully-constructed hierarchy.

Turning on Adjust Rig allows setting keys on all joint's lock values, letting you move the rig arbitrarily in the perspective view. This setting is shared system wide; you can see it on the main Edit menu and the 3D views' right-click menu.

When Adjust Rig is turned on, GeoH objects are no longer forced to be local coordinate system handles. Either world coordinate or local coordinate handles will be drawn, depending as usual on the right-click/View/Local-coordinate handles menu setting.

Adjust Rig is quite dangerous, as it can make your previously-completed tracking unusable.

A benign use is to initially position an object that will ultimately be locked in most

axes.

EXPERTS . A hazardous use is to animate the locked axes of the rig slightly over

the course of a shot to make fine corrections, for example to compensate for something that is bending or stretching slightly, but insufficiently to warrant tracking it directly.
