Versioning the Action Node

Don’t use the Action Node’s ‘Save’ button to create backups of the Action Node, for example to compare different results. That will prevent ‘Receive from SynthEyes’ from finding the node, since it looks for the node with the right name. If it can’t find it, and there’s only one Action node, it will ask about renaming it, but that’s not the best approach.

Similarly, you could Save the node, then change the name back to the correct name (typically Cam1Action), but that’s not terribly convenient.

Instead, you might Duplicate the Action node in the Batch Schematic; you can create and compare multiple versions that way if you like. Use the correctly-named one as the official one going forward, and the others as a backup, so that further ‘Receive’ operations update the correct Action node, not what you consider a backup.
