‌Tasks are distributed across multiple processors

Now think about adding the numbers up, but instead they are added up by a committee, each member of which is grabbing various pages of the numbers to total. Sometimes some of the committee members (your processors) need to go answer the mail, change the radio station, or whatever. So every time, the numbers get added up different ways, depending on how many committee members are available and what else they are doing. As a result, the answer can be slightly different.
