 User-Level values define your defaults for newly created scenes (the

“blueprint”).

 Scene-Level values only affect the currently open shot.

 “Save” merges from scene → user; “Save As” creates a new preset file; “Load” switches to a different preset.

 For consistent naming and easy switching among clients or jobs, combine the Project Selector with the Workflow Presets Manager. You’ll have a flexible, powerful system that keeps file-naming tags and other settings organized per project, all while avoiding confusion about which short name is active.
