โ€ŒMinimize Rolling Shutter

Minimize rolling shutter by choice of camera, by choosing faster camera readout rates (if possible), by accurately measuring the rolling shutter fraction on-set at the shoot (with a left-right zig-zag sequence with the actual camera setup), or by minimizing pan/tilt rates during shots. Rolling shutter effects can overwhelm the fine anamorphic distortions weโ€™re trying to eliminate; distortion shouldnโ€™t be calculated during rapid slews. You can have SynthEyes solve for it, compensated tracker data, but that makes the match hard to examine, and most downstream applications canโ€™t render matching footage.
